What are Granola's free plan limits?

Granola's free Basic plan is not metered by meeting count. Its own documentation puts the limit on access: on Basic you can see notes from the last 30 days only, and older notes are not deleted, they are stored and out of reach until you upgrade. Business is $14 per user per month, Enterprise is $35.

Short answer

Granola's free Basic plan is not metered by meeting count. Its own documentation puts the limit on access: on Basic you can see notes from the last 30 days only, and older notes are not deleted, they are stored and out of reach until you upgrade. Business is $14 per user per month, Enterprise is $35.

The details

  • 01The figure repeated in round-ups, a hard cap of 25 notes, is not what Granola publishes. Its free versus paid explainer describes a rolling window instead: notes from the last 30 days only, with everything older kept but not accessible inside the app until you upgrade.
  • 02So the free tier is generous on volume and strict on memory. Ten meetings a week costs nothing if you never look back further than a month. If your reason for recording is being able to check what was agreed last quarter, the free plan cannot do the job you adopted it for.
  • 03Two smaller Basic limits worth knowing first: multi-language support on the free tier covers 10 languages, and the People and Companies view is bounded by the same 30 day window.
  • 04Reline's free plan meters the opposite way. It allows up to 1 hour per note, 10 hours of transcription per month and 2 GB of storage, with unlimited notes and no window that hides them. Heavy weeks reach our ceiling sooner; a note from last quarter is still simply there.
  • 05Neither tool puts a bot in the call, so that is not the deciding difference any more. What differs after the meeting is that Reline keeps the audio in the note so you can press play on a transcript line and hear it, transcribes 60+ languages, and runs in a browser as well as on macOS, Windows and Linux. Capture is local, transcription and AI run in the cloud.
