The details
- Granola's security and privacy documentation is explicit. Audio is temporarily cached during the meeting for transcription only, and once transcription is complete the audio is deleted from our systems and any third-party services. We do not retain audio recordings.
- That is a deliberate privacy design and a real one. It also means there is nothing to play back. If the transcript mishears a number, a name or a commitment, the only record of what was actually said is gone.
- Reline stores the recording with the note. Press play on any transcript line and playback starts at that moment, so you can check a quote instead of trusting a paraphrase. Summaries cite the transcript and the citations are clickable.
- It is a genuine trade, not a free win. Keeping audio means the recording exists and has to be governed: Reline stores it in private buckets, playback runs through short-lived signed links, and deleting the note deletes the audio with it.
- On the free plan you can record up to 1 hour per note, transcribe up to 10 hours a month and store 2 GB. Professional is $15 per month, or $12 per month billed annually.
