Every client session,
remembered.
Reline records your coaching calls without joining them, keeps the audio, and files every session under the client it belongs to. What a client said in session four is there when it matters in session nine.
Your memory holds five clients, not thirty
Coaching runs on noticing: the goal a client set three months ago, the phrase they keep coming back to, the commitment they made last week. Notes are how you keep hold of all of it, and a full practice is exactly what makes notes hard.
You type while they talk, so you listen less. Or you listen fully and rebuild the session from memory afterwards.
Something a client said three sessions ago matters today, and it sits in a notebook, a doc or nowhere.
A recording bot in the call is one more participant in a conversation that depends on trust.
Preparing for a session means rereading pages of notes when all you need is two minutes to see where you left off.
Follow-ups slip: the recap you meant to send, the exercise you agreed on, the question you promised to come back to.
How Reline works in a coaching session
Start a recording in the Reline desktop app (macOS and Windows, Linux in beta), or in your browser for calls you take in the browser. Reline records your microphone and the call's audio on your own computer, so it works the same on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or any call that plays through your computer. Nothing joins the call, and your client sees no extra participant. When the session ends you have the transcript, AI notes, the action items you agreed on, and the recording itself. Your side and your client's side are labeled separately (Me and Other), because Reline hears them on separate audio streams.

Every client's history in one place
Give each client a folder. Every session's notes, transcript and recording land there, in order. Before the next session, ask the folder a question, like "what did we agree to try last time?" or "when did she first mention the promotion?" Reline answers from that client's sessions, quotes the transcript with timestamps and names the session each quote came from.
Hear it again, in their words
Reline keeps the recording with the notes. Press play on any line of the transcript to hear how it was said, which matters in coaching, where the tone often says more than the words. When you reflect something back to a client, you can use their exact words instead of your paraphrase.
Your session format, every time
Save your session structure as a template, for example goals, what came up, commitments and next steps, and Reline writes every session's notes in that shape. Action items are pulled out for you, so the exercise you agreed on doesn't depend on your memory.
Send the recap in a couple of clicks
When the session ends, email the summary to your client straight from the note. Each participant gets their own email with the summary, and it gives them no access to anything else in your workspace.
Consent, privacy and where your data lives
Tell your client you record sessions and get their agreement before you start. Having no bot in the call doesn't change that. Notes and folders start private: nobody sees a client's folder unless you share it. Recording happens on your computer, then transcription, storage and AI run in the cloud, so Reline is not an offline tool. Reline is built for coaching and other client conversations, not clinical records. It has no HIPAA or SOC 2 certification, so if you are a therapist or work under health-privacy rules, it is not the right tool.
Dig deeper
Coaching questions, answered
- Will my client see a bot in the session?
- No. Reline never joins the call and never appears in the participant list; it records on your computer. You should still tell your client you're recording and get their agreement first.
- Can I use Reline for in-person sessions?
- Yes, with your laptop in the room. Reline records through the microphone, and you get the same transcript and notes. Because both voices come through one microphone, it can't separate your voice from your client's the way it does on a call.
- Who can see my session notes and recordings?
- Only you, unless you share them. Notes and folders start private, and a recap email gives your client the summary without access to anything else. Recording happens on your computer; transcription, storage and AI run in the cloud.
- Is Reline HIPAA compliant? Can therapists use it?
- No. Reline has no HIPAA or SOC 2 certification and isn't built for clinical records. It's built for coaching and other client conversations.
- Does it work in other languages?
- Yes. Reline transcribes many languages and detects the language on its own. If your sessions are always in one language, you can set it in Settings.
- How much does it cost?
- You can start free, with no card. Paid plans are billed per seat and add unlimited recording; the pricing page has current prices.
