How long does an AI notetaker keep my recordings?

• 01Retention has two halves, and both should be written down: how long the tool keeps things by default, and what actually happens when you delete. Some tools keep audio indefinitely, some delete it the moment transcription ends, and some let an admin set a window.
• 02Reline's default is simple. A note and its recording exist until you delete them. There is no rolling history window on the free plan or any other plan today. If that ever changes, the pricing page will say so first.
• 03Deleting is two steps on purpose. Moving a note to the trash keeps it recoverable for 30 days. After 30 days a daily job removes it for good, and the audio file is deleted from storage with it.
• 04Deleting your account cascades. Sign-in sessions and linked accounts are removed, your notes and their recordings go, and nothing is left behind waiting for a later job.
• 05Audio is stored in private buckets with no public access. Playback uses short-lived signed links issued only after a permission check on that note, so an old link cannot be reused later by someone who should not have it.
• 06If your company needs a fixed retention period, the API and the export dialog let you pull everything out on a schedule, and deletion through the app is immediate for the copy you keep in Reline.
