Does Sembly show up in the participant list?
Yes. Sembly joins your Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, or Webex call as a visible participant, and its own documentation says it introduces itself with an automatic message when it joins. Reline adds nothing to the call: it records the meeting's audio locally on your own machine.

The details
- Sembly treats the visibility as a feature. Its Zoom page says the agent joins as a visible participant so everyone on the call can see it, which is the opposite of a hidden recorder.
- It can attend calls you are not in, and you can pull it out mid-meeting from the Sembly app or straight from the conferencing platform's participant list.
- For conversations in a room, Sembly records through your device microphone in its own app, or you upload an existing file. For an online call, the documented route is the visible agent.
- Reline uses local capture for every kind of meeting, so a client call and a room conversation follow the same flow. Transcription and summaries run in the cloud, and the recording stays available to play back next to the transcript.
