The details
- Read AI's own guidance says the notetaker does not try to blend in. It announces who added it, appears as a participant and posts in the chat, so everyone on the call can see it is there.
- Removing it is a participant action. In Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom you remove the notetaker from the participant list the same way you would remove a person. Typing Read Stop in the chat makes it leave, and Opt Out deletes what it captured.
- It arrives from your calendar. Once auto-join is on it defaults to meetings that carry a conferencing link, which is why people keep finding it in calls they never consciously invited it to.
- Reline has no bot to admit or remove. It records the audio your computer plays plus your microphone, locally on macOS, Windows or Linux, and it also runs in the browser.
