Reline for
product managers & designers
Reline records your user interviews and design reviews straight off your machine, no bot in the room, then hands you summaries where every claim links back to the exact line someone said it.
The insight is in the call. Finding it again is the work.
You run a week of interviews, take half-decent notes, and then spend Friday scrubbing recordings to find the one quote that actually proves the point. The feedback lives in five places and none of them talk to each other.
Re-watching 60-minute recordings to relocate a single sentence a user said about onboarding.
Paraphrasing a quote into your synthesis doc and then not being able to back it up when someone pushes in the review.
Feedback from interviews, design crits, and usability sessions scattered across docs, threads, and your memory.
Every researcher and PM running interviews a slightly different way, so notes never line up across the team.
No bot crashing your user interview
Participants get nervous the moment a meeting bot named 'Reline Notetaker' slides into the call. Reline never joins. It records mic and system audio locally on your Mac, Windows, or Linux machine (or in the browser), so the conversation looks exactly like a normal call. You stay present with the person instead of half-watching a recorder, and there's nothing extra for them to consent to seeing in the participant list.

Summaries you can defend, down to the line
Reline transcribes the call (60+ languages, auto-detected) and writes a summary where the key points cite back to the exact transcript moment. When someone in a review asks 'did a user really say that?', you click the citation, jump to that line, and play the audio from right there. No more paraphrasing a quote and hoping you remembered it correctly.
Ask what users said across every call
Once a round of interviews is in a folder, you can chat with all of it at once. Ask 'what did people say about the checkout flow' or 'who mentioned pricing as a blocker' and Reline pulls the answer from across notes, the folder, or the whole workspace, with citations back to who said it and when. Synthesis stops being a manual re-read of ten transcripts.
Lenses for a research process that repeats
Save your interview debrief format or your design-review rubric as a Lens, a reusable AI template, and run it on every call so the output is consistent across the team. Notes live in a real-time collaborative Notion-style editor, so a researcher and a designer can work the same debrief at once, and you can push the takeaways straight into Slack, Linear, or Notion.

Questions from product and design teams
- Will participants see a bot or know they're being recorded?
- No bot ever joins the call. Reline records mic and system audio locally from your own device, so nothing shows up in the participant list. You're still responsible for telling people they're being recorded and getting consent, the way you would for any research session.
- Can I trust the quotes in a summary?
- Yes. Every key point in an AI summary links back to the exact moment in the transcript, and you can click it to read the surrounding lines or play the audio from that spot. The summary is generated from the real transcript, so you can verify any claim instead of trusting a paraphrase.
- Does it tell speakers apart by name?
- Reline labels audio as 'Me' (your mic) versus 'Other' (everything coming through the call), not by individual name. For one-on-one interviews that's usually enough to follow who said what. It does not do named, per-person diarization across multiple call participants.
- How do I pull themes across a whole round of interviews?
- Put the calls in a folder and use RAG chat to ask questions across all of them at once, like 'what did users say about navigation'. Answers come back with citations to the specific notes and moments, so you get the theme and the evidence together instead of re-reading every transcript.
- Does Reline work for non-English research?
- Yes. Reline transcribes 60+ languages with automatic detection, so interviews in other languages are transcribed without you picking a language first. Summaries, citations, and RAG chat all work on top of that transcript.
