Reline for
lectures & seminars

Reline records the mic and the room audio straight from your laptop, so you can sit in a lecture or a Zoom seminar, stop scribbling, and still keep every word.

The problem

You can listen or you can write. Not both.

Lectures move fast. The moment you put your head down to copy a slide, the professor drops the one line that ends up on the exam, and there's no way to scrub back to it three weeks later when you're revising.

You miss half the explanation because you're busy transcribing the first half.

A point only made sense when the lecturer said it out loud, and your notes don't capture how they said it.

There's no way to re-find the 90 seconds where they explained the proof you didn't follow.

The lecturer's first language isn't yours, and an accent or a fast tangent leaves gaps you can't fill in.

No bot, no awkward join request

Reline doesn't send a meeting bot into the call. It captures the microphone and the system audio locally on your laptop, so it works in a physical lecture hall, a seminar room, or a Zoom class the same way. There's no participant named "Reline Notetaker" for the professor to notice, and nothing to set up before class beyond pressing record. Works on macOS, Windows, Linux, and the web.

Live transcript while the lecture happens

As the lecturer talks, the transcript builds in real time, across 60+ languages with automatic detection. If your professor switches between English and another language mid-sentence, it keeps up. Speaker labels separate your own questions from the room, so a recorded seminar reads as "Me" versus "Other" rather than one wall of text.

Study notes that point back to the source

After class, Reline writes an AI summary where every claim links to the exact moment in the transcript it came from. Click a citation to jump to the line, then click that line to hear the audio. Save a Lens, a reusable AI template, so "key definitions, worked examples, and likely exam topics" comes out the same way for every lecture in the course.

For students & educators

Quiz yourself across the whole semester

Drop a term's worth of lectures into a folder and ask questions across all of them at once. RAG chat pulls answers from your actual recordings, not the open internet, so "where did we cover eigenvalues?" returns the lecture and the spot in it. The notepad is a real-time collaborative Notion-style editor, so a study group can revise the same set of notes together.

Frequently asked

Questions from students and educators

Does a bot join my class or Zoom call?
No. Reline records the microphone and system audio directly from your laptop, so nothing joins the meeting and there's no notetaker in the participant list. The same setup works in a physical lecture hall where there's no call at all.
Can it handle a lecture that isn't in English?
Yes. Transcription runs and supports 60+ languages with automatic detection, including switching between languages within the same session. It biases toward the language it hears rather than locking you to one.
Can I go back and re-hear a part I didn't understand?
Yes. Every recording plays back inside Reline, and the transcript is linked to the audio. Click any line in the transcript and playback seeks to that exact moment, so you can replay the 30 seconds you missed instead of hunting through the whole file.
Will it tell me which speaker said what?
It separates your microphone from the room audio, labeled as "Me" and "Other," so your questions are distinct from the lecturer. It does not identify individual people by name, so in a seminar with several speakers everyone other than you shows as "Other."
Is there a mobile app for recording in the lecture hall?
Not yet. Reline runs as a desktop app on macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus the web, so you record from a laptop in class. The free plan covers one hour per note, with paid plans for longer lectures.
