Reline (reline.so) is an AI meeting notepad that records without a bot in the call. Search your meeting notes, read transcripts with timestamps, list action items and create notes. Connect it to Cursor through Reline's MCP server, and Cursor's agent can do all of that in the workspaces you approve, with your own permissions.

Build from what the meeting decided, not from memory
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard Cursor uses to reach outside tools. Reline's MCP server gives Cursor's agent a set of tools over your Reline workspaces: search notes, read a note or a transcript, list meetings, folders, people, calendar events and action items, and, if you allow write access, create notes and folders, add to a note, mark an action item done or book a meeting on your Reline calendar. Every call runs with your own permissions, so Cursor sees only what your account can already open, and results carry a link back to the note in Reline.
Read and write, within your permissions
- Search your notesKeyword and meaning-based search across titles, notes, transcripts and summaries, narrowed by folder or date when you ask.
- Read notes and transcriptsFetch a note as markdown with its latest summary, or read its transcript line by line with timestamps. Long transcripts page through a cursor.
- Meetings, people and calendarList recorded meetings by date, the people you have met with, and events on your connected Google or Outlook calendar. Calendar access is read-only.
- Action itemsList open and done action items with owners and due dates, and mark one done when it is finished.
- Create and addWith write access: create a note or a folder, add to the top or the end of a note, rename or file a note, or book a meeting on your Reline calendar. Note bodies are only ever added to, never replaced, and nothing can be deleted or shared.
Connect Cursor in four steps
https://mcp.reline.so/mcpPaste this URL as the url of a remote MCP server in Cursor. Sign-in uses OAuth, so there is no key to copy. For scripts or headless setups, a workspace API key also works as a bearer token in an Authorization header.
- Open Reline's MCP settingsIn the Reline app, open Settings, then Integrations, then MCP, and pick Cursor. You can also copy the server URL from this page.
- Add Reline to CursorClick Add to Cursor. Cursor opens and asks you to confirm the install. To add it by hand instead, open Cursor's MCP settings or the file ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json for one project) and add a server named reline whose url is https://mcp.reline.so/mcp.
- Approve on Reline's consent screenCursor starts the sign-in. Sign in to Reline, pick the workspaces Cursor may reach, keep read and write access or narrow it to read only, then click Allow access.
- Ask about your meetingsIn the agent chat, ask something like "what did we decide about the billing API in Tuesday's call?" Cursor uses Reline's tools when they are relevant and, by default, asks for your approval before it runs one.
You choose what Cursor can reach
Each connection covers only the workspaces you approve, and Cursor acts as you: other members' private notes stay private. Reline marks its read tools as read-only and its write tools as writes, so Cursor can ask before it changes anything. Revoke a connection any time from Settings, then Integrations, then MCP, and it loses access immediately. Cursor's answers are written by AI from what it reads in your notes and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Open the note it links to and check the transcript, or play the recording, before you act on an answer.
Questions about Reline for Cursor
- Which Cursor plans can use it?
- Cursor's documentation does not tie MCP servers to a paid plan. On Enterprise, an admin can limit which MCP servers the team may run, so Reline may need to be allowed first.
- Can Cursor delete or share my notes?
- No. Reline's tools cannot delete or archive anything, share a note, or change permissions or members. With write access, Cursor can create notes and folders, add to a note, rename or file a note, mark an action item done and book a meeting on your Reline calendar.
- What can Cursor see?
- Only what your own Reline account can open, in the workspaces you picked when you connected (up to 10). Other members' private notes stay private.
- Does it work in VS Code too?
- Yes. VS Code connects to the same server URL through GitHub Copilot's chat: run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP and paste the URL.
- How do I disconnect Cursor?
- Open Settings, then Integrations, then MCP in Reline and revoke the connection. Cursor loses access immediately. You can also remove Reline from Cursor's MCP settings.
