How to connect Microsoft 365 / Outlook calendar to Reline

Open Reline's Settings, go to Calendar, and connect your Microsoft account. Reline reads your Outlook calendar (read-only) and auto-attaches each meeting to a note, so when you start recording the title, time, and attendees are already filled in.

  1. Open Settings → Calendar

In Reline, open Settings from the sidebar and select the Calendar tab. This is the same screen where you connect Google Calendar — Microsoft 365 and Outlook sit right next to it.

  2. Connect your Microsoft account

Click Connect next to Microsoft. You'll be sent to Microsoft's sign-in page to pick the work, school, or personal account whose calendar you want to use. Sign in and approve the access prompt to return to Reline.

  3. Confirm the read-only scope

Reline only requests permission to read your calendar events. It never creates, edits, or deletes anything in Outlook, and it doesn't send a bot to your meetings — capture happens locally on your device. The consent screen will reflect read-only access.

  4. Let your meetings sync

Once connected, your upcoming Microsoft 365 / Outlook events appear in Reline. Each meeting is matched to its own note with the title, start time, and attendee list pulled in automatically, so there's nothing to copy over by hand.

  5. Record straight from the meeting

When it's time, open the auto-attached note and hit record. Reline captures your mic and the other participants' system audio locally — on macOS you'll grant a one-time system-audio / screen-recording permission the first time. Transcription runs in 60+ languages.

  6. Review the citation-backed summary

After the call, every point in the summary links to the exact transcript moment it came from. Click any transcript line to seek the in-app playback to that spot, and ask Reline's chat questions across this note, its folder, or the whole workspace — answers cite the underlying transcripts.

Frequently asked

Microsoft 365 calendar FAQ

Does Reline change anything in my Outlook calendar?
No. The Microsoft 365 connection is read-only — Reline reads event titles, times, and attendees to attach meetings to notes. It never creates, edits, moves, or deletes events in your calendar.
Do I need both Google and Microsoft connected?
No. Reline supports Google and Microsoft 365 / Outlook calendar sync, and you can connect either one or both. Connect only the account whose meetings you want auto-attached to notes.
Does a bot join my Microsoft Teams or Outlook meeting?
No bot joins. Reline records your microphone and the other participants' system audio locally on your own device. On macOS, capturing the other participants requires a one-time system-audio / screen-recording permission.
