The best Krisp alternative depends on which half of Krisp you use. For noise cancellation, start with what you already have: Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet ship built-in noise suppression, macOS has Voice Isolation, and NVIDIA Broadcast is free on RTX PCs. For bot-free AI meeting notes, look at Reline, Granola and Jamie.

We make Reline, so read this as a vendor’s roundup. Reline appears only in the notes half: it does not cancel background noise, and the noise section recommends other tools for that job. Every price below comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, checked on 20 October 2026.

What does Krisp do, and why look for an alternative?

Krisp started as AI noise cancellation and grew into a meeting assistant. Its pricing page now lists a 7-day free trial with no card required, then Core at $16 per user per month ($8 billed annually), Advanced at $30 ($15 billed annually) and a custom Enterprise plan. Noise cancellation is built into every plan. There is no separate noise-only plan, although you can switch the meeting assistant off.

That bundle is why most people search for an alternative. If you only want quiet calls, you pay for a notes product you may not use, and free tools now cover much of that job. If you only want notes, you pay for audio processing, while dedicated notes apps do more around the transcript: collaborative editing, kept recordings or chat across all your meetings. One Krisp feature has no equivalent in this list: accent conversion, which Core includes for 1 hour a day.

Best Krisp alternatives for noise cancellation

1. Built-in suppression in Zoom, Teams and Meet: best free option

Before installing anything, check your meeting app. Zoom’s desktop app offers four background noise suppression levels: Auto (the default), Low, Medium and High, where High also removes background speech and can use more CPU. Microsoft Teams has noise suppression on its desktop and mobile apps, documents Auto, Low and High levels on iOS, and lets you switch it off for a studio microphone. Google Meet removes non-speech noise such as typing, doors and construction; on a computer it is cloud-based and included in eligible Workspace editions and Google One plans with 2 TB or more.

The limit: each one works only inside its own app, and Google says Meet does not cancel voices from a TV or people talking nearby. If you move between Zoom, Teams, Slack and Discord all day, a system-wide tool is less fiddly.

2. NVIDIA Broadcast: best free system-wide option on Windows

NVIDIA Broadcast is a free Windows app that cleans your microphone with AI Noise Removal and Room Echo Removal; you then pick NVIDIA Broadcast as the microphone in your call or streaming app. The catch is hardware: it needs an NVIDIA RTX GPU (GeForce RTX 2060, Quadro RTX 3000, TITAN RTX or higher) on Windows 10 or 11. On a Mac, or on a laptop without an RTX card, it is not an option.

3. macOS Voice Isolation: best built-in option on a Mac

macOS has its own mic modes. In an app that supports them, such as FaceTime, click the Video (or microphone) indicator in the menu bar, choose Mic Mode, then Voice Isolation to filter out background sounds. It costs nothing and needs no install. Apple notes that the options vary by app, so check that your call app offers it before you rely on it.

When Krisp is still the better noise tool

Krisp cancels noise in both directions (yours and the other participants’), on Mac and Windows, across Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex and Slack, and adds accent conversion. If you want one consistent layer everywhere, Krisp is still the benchmark. The free options win on price, not on reach.

Best Krisp alternatives for AI meeting notes without a bot

Krisp’s meeting assistant records without a bot by default, so a fair alternative should too. All three tools below capture on your computer with nothing joining the call.

1. Reline: best for team notes that keep the recording

Reline records your microphone and system audio locally on macOS, Windows and Linux (beta), or in any browser, with no bot in the call. Transcription, AI summaries and storage run in the cloud, in 60+ languages, with speaker separation (Me vs Other: your microphone vs the call audio). The recording is kept next to the AI summary, with a play button on every transcript line, inside a Notion-style notepad your team can co-edit, with five permission levels per note and folder.

Chat works across notes, folders and whole workspaces, and its answers quote the transcript with timestamps and name the source note. Integrations cover Slack, Linear and Notion, and an MCP server connects your notes to AI assistants. The free plan gives 1 hour per note and 10 hours of transcription a month, no card. Professional is $15 per user per month ($12 billed annually) with unlimited recording.

Where it falls short: Reline does not cancel background noise or convert accents, it has no mobile apps yet, and someone has to be in the meeting with the app open.

2. Granola: best personal notepad on desktop and phone

Granola transcribes your computer audio in the background without joining the meeting, and turns the notes you type into a cleaner write-up. It runs on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android. Basic is free with 30 days of meeting history; Business is $14 per user per month and Enterprise $35, per Granola’s pricing page. The trade-off: Granola’s security FAQ says it does not retain audio recordings, so there is nothing to replay when a transcript line looks wrong, and there is no browser version.

3. Jamie: bot-free notes with a free tier for short calls

Jamie says it runs directly on your device and does not need a meeting bot to join your calls. Its free plan includes 10 AI notes a month with a 30-minute limit per meeting; Pro is €39 a month and Team €33 per seat a month, both billed annually, per Jamie’s pricing page. It lists Windows, macOS, iOS and web.

Which Krisp alternative should you choose?

  • You want quiet calls in one meeting app: turn on that app’s noise suppression and pay for nothing.
  • You want quiet calls in every app on a Windows PC with an RTX GPU: NVIDIA Broadcast.
  • You are on a Mac and want no extra software: Voice Isolation, where your call app supports it.
  • You want notes your team writes in, with the recording kept for replay: Reline.
  • You want a personal notepad on desktop and phone: Granola.
  • You need noise cancellation, notes and accent conversion in one app: stay on Krisp.

Many people end up splitting the job: free built-in noise suppression for the call itself, and a dedicated notes app for everything that happens after it.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the best free alternative to Krisp?
For noise cancellation, the free options are the suppression built into Zoom and Teams, Google Meet noise cancellation on eligible Workspace and Google One plans, macOS Voice Isolation, and NVIDIA Broadcast on Windows PCs with an RTX GPU. For bot-free meeting notes, Reline’s free plan gives 10 hours of transcription a month, Granola Basic keeps 30 days of history, and Jamie’s free plan includes 10 AI notes a month.
Does Krisp still have a free plan?
Krisp’s pricing page lists a 7-day free trial with no card required, not a permanent free tier. After that, Core is $16 per user per month ($8 billed annually) and Advanced is $30 ($15 billed annually). Noise cancellation is included in every plan; there is no noise-only plan.
Krisp AI vs Nyota: which should you pick?
Nyota is listed in AI tool directories as an AI meeting assistant, but when we checked on 20 October 2026, nyota.ai and its pricing page returned a Not Found error, so we could not verify its current plans or how it records, and left it out of the table. If you are comparing the two, check Nyota’s own site for its current plans before you decide. Krisp is the pick if you also need noise cancellation; for notes alone, compare Reline, Granola and Jamie.
Does Reline cancel background noise like Krisp?
No. Reline records your microphone and system audio locally with no bot, then turns the meeting into a transcript, an AI summary next to the kept recording, and notes your team can edit. It does not clean call audio in real time. If you need that, pair it with the noise suppression built into your meeting app.
Do these Krisp alternatives join the meeting as a bot?
No. The noise tools process audio inside your meeting app or on your computer, and Reline, Granola and Jamie record without a bot joining the call. Bot-free does not change recording law: you still need to tell people you are recording where your jurisdiction requires it.
Is there an alternative to Krisp accent conversion?
None of the tools in this roundup offers accent conversion. Krisp includes it on Core for 1 hour a day on your side and 1 hour a day on the listener side, per its pricing page. If accent conversion is the feature you rely on, staying on Krisp is the honest answer.
