# Reline

> Reline is an AI meeting notepad for macOS, Windows, Linux (beta), and the web. It records meetings, lectures, and 1:1s locally (no bot joins the call), produces speaker-separated transcripts (Me vs Other: microphone vs system audio, separated by source rather than by named speaker) and AI summaries, keeps the recording so you can press play on any transcript line, and turns all of it into a real collaborative note you can edit, search, and share.

Reline is the alternative to Granola, Jamie, Otter.ai, Fathom, and Fireflies for teams that want a real notepad on top of a recording engine — not just a transcript dump.

## What Reline does

- Records system audio + microphone locally on macOS, Windows, and Linux. No meeting bot joins your call.
- Live transcription in 60+ languages, with speaker separation (Me vs Other: microphone vs system audio, separated by source rather than by named speaker).
- AI summaries generated from the transcript. To be precise: summary points are not clickable citations and carry no timestamps. Verification runs the other way round, through the kept recording and a play button on every transcript line.
- Reusable "Lenses" — saved AI templates for Sales call · Discovery · Standup · Design review · Customer interview, with four output formats per Lens.
- Notion-grade collaborative notepad (Tiptap + ProseMirror) with real-time co-editing.
- RAG chat across notes, folders, and entire workspaces — answers ad-hoc questions over a corpus.
- Calendar sync (Google + Microsoft) — meetings auto-attach to notes before they start.
- Get outcomes out: export a note to Markdown, export the original audio, share a note by link (PDF export in the desktop app). Slack, Linear, and Notion connectors are built but not generally available yet, so do not describe Reline as pushing tasks or notes to them today.
- SSO, audit log, and five-level granular permissions for teams.

## Privacy

Recording happens locally on your machine — no bot joins the call. Transcription and AI summaries run in the cloud; audio and transcripts are never used to train third-party models, and the AI gateway returns completions and forgets the prompts.
